Sweet Relief !

I just need to vent how much relief I feel in this moment.

I was adopted so I don’t know a lot about my genetics. Turns out I have enough of a connection to Ashkenazi Jew that I needed to be tested to see if I’m a carrier for Tay Sachs Disease (it’s the destruction of nerve cell in the brain and spine and very often ends in loss of life within the first five years for the child).

After multiple times getting my blood drawn and tested I got the call from my nurse practitioner today and she told me I am not a carrier. Everything looks totally fine. *cue deep breath*

I’m 8 weeks along and finally feel like I can start making a real attachment to my baby. 😭♥️
