Headaches?

Any suggestions on help with headaches/migraines while pregnant? Tylenol just doesn’t seem to cut it for me. So far today I’ve tried rest, ice packs and a warm shower and they’ve all helped a little but haven’t made my headache go completely away.

I say talk to your ob. I have chronic migraines even when not pregnant, and they got worse after I became pregnant. My doctor set in a script for a pregnancy safe pain killer for migraines and I literally live on them.

My midwife told me that tylenol works best when you take it right away, it doesn't do much if you take it once the headache is full blown. That helped me a bit as did significantly increasing my water intake. Also seeing a chiro to keep my neck aligned and tension free is key

You can actually have excedrine extra tension headache because it doesn’t have any aspirin. I took that while I was pregnant Bc that’s the only thing that helped my migraines. My obgyn approved. I would talk to yours first though but he/she will prob tell you it’s okay.

i had a headache for 3 days straight when i was somewhere in my 8 or 9th week and it would get better for a little bit after i ate but even when i took tylenol and laid down and did all that, it still didn’t go away, i just had to wait for it to go away on its own!
