When do labor symptoms begin?

If this is you third child or more, did you have symptoms before having your second child? With my first I had about a week of symptoms leading up to labor but was wondering if it is the same with second babies or if they come fast once symptoms begin? I'm 39 weeks with only mild Braxton Hicks.

Starting at like 32 weeks I started losing my plug on and off. By 35 weeks I had diarrhea every couple days and would have prodromal labor. At 40+5 I had a huge change in pressure and just knew something was different and my water broke that night.

I didn't really have a lot with my second. I woke up the day I went into Labor and had a feeling it would happen that day. Went to an OB appointment in the morning where he scheduled an induction for the following week (I was 39+5). As I left he said he was sure he'd see me before then. That afternoon I kept having lower tightening which then turned into a very regular pinching sensation. The hospital admitted me that night as the contractions got stronger and were long, regular and close together, but they still had to break my waters the next morning. Prior to that I had the odd braxton hicks and that was it 😊
