Pretty Bummed :(

I'm 17-3 today and moving at 19 weeks to a whole new area and luckily got to transfer to an OBGYN where I'm moving to. The reason I'm bummed is because my Dr here won't budge on letting us get the ultrasound prior to 20 weeks and my new Dr won't let me do an ultrasound until after my first appointment with him which will be in January and I'll be 22 maybe 23 weeks before we eventually get that ultrasound :( I really was hoping to be able to find out before Christmas. Such a major bummer! Can anyone tell me how to go about getting an elective ultrasound?
