104 degree fever in 17 month old
What should I do? Should I take her to the ER?
My daughter had a fever of 103.2 yesterday. I called the doctor, they were closed, so I had to speak to the on call doctor. They told me to give her Motrin and Tylenol and alternate, and if I want to take her in, to call in the morning
I call today, make an apt, they tell me everything is fine, her ears are good, lungs are clear, throat isn’t red. They told me as long as the fever goes away with meds, it’s fine.
So about 7 hours later, her fever is 104. I call the doctor again, and they tell me the same thing, as long as she’s drinking and the fever goes down with meds it’s ok. If she still has a fever in 48 hours to call back. Wtf!
What should I do? Please don’t tell me to call the doctor because I already did. Should we go to the Er?
She’s not my first kid, but my first never got fevers this high
