What are y'all doing

Question

So those of you who are pregnant but have other toddlers, where are you leaving your babies when you go into labor? I'm referring to the ones that have no family support, no friends, no one at all to watch them. My son has never been away from me for more than a few hours when he was going to daycare, and he's never slept over at anyone's house before I'm so stressed. I've seriously considered just telling my husband to drop me off at the hospital and I'll go through labor alone so he can stay home with our son.

My husband and I have been trying to figure this out the last few months. We have ZERO family/friends where we live, everyone’s 9 hours + away. My mom
Was going to be coming up but now can’t because she’s having surgery a few weeks before DD and will need at least 6-8 weeks healing before going anywhere. Our daughter is 11, we’ve never had anyone watch her that wasn’t my mom or family. It’s stressful AF. Most likely husband will just drop me off and stay home with her. I feel awful, it’s his first ( my second ) so him missing the birth is just.. he’s not really handling that idea well.. Nothing to be done though 🤷🏻‍♀️

The one time we had absolutely no babysitter we ended up just bringing them to the hospital with us. They were 5 & 2 years old. I had an easy quick labor and delivery +epidural so it was really chill anyway. Only 4-5 hours from when we arrived at the hospital to when I gave birth. 
 This was 5 years ago though so I'm not sure what it would be like now with Covid rules.

I feel you on that. I can’t really tell you. I don’t hardly have it either. I will be in the same situation when my turn comes for labor. It’s just been us dealing with our situations. My two toddlers are disabled and family and friends are scared to watch them so every time I’m in the ER my husband have to watch them and when one is seeing a doctor at Lebonheur I stay in the car and wait for the appointment to be over. So I understand.this will be my third living baby to birth into the world I’m 13 weeks.

All our family lives 7 hours away and don’t have anyone close to watch our toddler. My dad is retired so he will come out and stay when I get close to going into labor no was induced last time so that is a possibility this time as well. It will make planning a little easier too.

For this reason, I opted to have a scheduled induction. The closest family is almost 3 hours away, and we needed someone to be able to be here to watch our son. 
This was last July during the middle of the pandemic, as well. So I wanted to have a plan!

My mom is arriving on my due date. If baby comes before then I'll have one of our regular sitters watch her during labor. If I didn't have that option I would hire a sibling doula.

My daughter will be 11 months when I have baby #2, and we’ve never been apart either. She is super attached to me and has never stayed with anyone besides me & her dad. I have to have a repeat C-Section, and will probably have to leave her with my mom or my MIL an hour away. It’s causing me a lot of stress because I do not trust ANYONE with her but me and her dad. I’m only leaving her with one of them because I have absolutely no other choice. But, after the C Section is over and my boyfriend gets to spend some time with our newest baby he will be going to get our daughter and staying the night with her at home.
