Dental Care and Conception
I realize this is sort of a TTC question, but in order to get some answers, I felt like I needed to ask all you wonderful women who are already pregnant! 😉
I keep reading that there is a link between preterm birth/lower fertility if you don’t have good oral health. I, unfortunately, was that person. I struggled getting pregnant and my daughter was born a preemie.
I am now insured and have just completed getting a full mouth renovation! Lol! I got deep cleaning on both sides and multiple cavities filled/one tooth pulled. The only thing left is the actual dental implant after a couple months of extraction healing. And this was after no dentist for 12+ years. 🥴
I guess my question is...did anyone else have poor oral health and struggle to get pregnant, then get pregnant once you took care of yourself? Did anyone notice a big difference and get pregnant soon afterwards? Like I said, I just keep reading about how it can increase fertility and was wondering how true that is in “real life”. Lol
Thanks for reading!
