Why??

I’m in the 37th week and baby has been engaged for a few weeks and I’ve been slightly dilated (2-3) and 70% effaced for the same amount of time. I am in constant pain all day I feel like I’m on a super heavy period + being stabbed in my lower abdomen through my back. I can’t get comfortable nothing is helping and it doesn’t go away. Is this normal or possibly early labor? As far as contractions I can’t really tell if I’m having them I may be having back labor though. I’ve had an extreme amount of discharge today as well sure that’s normal though. Any input is helpful.
