Any advice for a scheduled csection?

I have one next month and I am terrified.

I have had one emergency c section and two scheduled. I just want to say that for me the fear, nerves, anxiety, or whatever, is always worse than the actual experience.
Also, when they ask you what your pain level is 1 to 10, make sure you are reporting what it feels like when you get up and move around , not how you feel after laying still for a few hours.  Vast difference

My scheduled c section was great ! I did go in before my app bc my water broke but I just waited for the OR to open up and then they wheeled me back. The worst part for me was the tugging it was uncomfortable but def not painful. And bc of the meds they give you I was shaking a lot but apparently it does that to everyone. My nurse that was with me was telling me everything and so great and keeping me comfortable and calm. Got to have my son on my chest after and then recovery wise the most painful part to me was when they push on your stomach to keep the blood coming out so you don’t hemorrhage. At home I was able to hold him in bed and def had help my mom stayed with me so if you can have help ask for it . And get up and moving as best you can that helps too vs staying in bed ! Goodluck !!

Mine went wonderfully!
They should have you preregister to provide all insurance info and walk you through it about 1-2 weeks in advance.
Mine was very calm. We went in early, I think 7am, got settled in the room, took another shower(to scrub with that stinky soap), set up my IV, met with doc and anesthesiologist, wheeled me into surgery and baby was born by 9am. 
They placed him directly on my chest after giving him a quick once over, then cleaned him up and my husband snuggled him while they finished with me. Was wheeled back into the room, walked, showered and back in bed within another hour.

It’s not so bad, the recovery isn’t great but as long as you have help you’ll be just fine. My scheduled csection was great. I went in, got an IV, moved to the OR and got my spinal (which didn’t hurt much), then they brought my husband in and and 35 mins later we had a baby! Good luck, you’ll do great!
