How many dpo should I wait to take a test?

Ttc. And today makes 2 dpo. Not sure how long I should wait to try and take a test. Anxious for a bfp!!! HELP!

I began with nausea 8DPO and I got a BFN on 11DPO and positive 12DPO. I however used cheap tests because in the past 16 months I've wasted lots of tests. When I seen the faint second line I immediately went for blood work which too was positive :)
The closer you are to your period arriving, the more accurate it will be. It also depends on how early or late implantation occurs. ☺️

I've read a LOT on this because I'm anxious too.. and the most reliable dpo I'm seeing (without wasting false negative tests) is wait till 10 dpo. Between then and 13 dpo should be a positive if you are.

It depends on when you expect your period - for me, I used First Response Early Response and for those you can start testing up to 6 days before your missed period. For me personally that fell on 8dpo. I actually got a faint positive that day. My friend has longer cycles and for her, 6 days before her period would be 11dpo. So it varies. Most tests recommend just testing the day of your expected period, otherwise you may depress yourself with negatives leading up to your period
