Products worth splurging vs cheap

I’m just starting to look at baby shopping and am wondering what products were worth spending a good amount on vs ones that you could get a cheap model/brand of.

It’s worth it to splurge on a car seat since it’s the most important thing to keep your baby safe while driving. The convertible car seat is used longer, so it’s worth it to spend the most money on that one, but the infant seat is important too. I also think it’s important to buy a nice crib mattress that is nontoxic and comfortable.

A good stroller makes a huge difference if you walk a lot. We love our vista, we love our BOB, and we love our city mini GT. Remember that you will have a stroller for years, it’s absolutely worth the investment to get something high quality that folds easily and it user friendly. I pushed my friends child in a cheap stroller recently and it was just a horrendous experience.

Highly recommend a good stroller with rubber wheels.  I returned my whole Graco travel system (car seat and stroller set) when I saw the difference between my stroller and my cousins city mini gt.  
This stroller is very light and the rubber wheels make a huge difference on any bumps or cracked sidewalks.
