Hemorrhages during pregnancy

Hello all you lovely ladies, I’m home from my second visit to the emergency room after a bit of a scare.

14 weeks pregnant, I suddenly felt like I was peeing myself a couple of days ago and it turned out to be blood that just wouldn’t stop. After a very stressful ride to hospital and and emergency consult it turns out baby is fine (I honestly thought all hope was lost) but the placenta is just a little too far down and bleeding might occur again. The emergency obstetrician thinks I might have no choice other than a C-section.

Had a follow up consult and everything still okay.

Has anyone else experienced this ? What advice were you given ? My regular obgyn is on vacation for two weeks and I’m just desperate for reassurance that a healthy pregnancy is still possible (an acquaintance of mine died a few years back from bleeding out on the birthing table and it’s making me a bit loopy).
