Someone made a good point to me today, he said

"If a shooter comes in here(*) right now, he'll be able to take most of us out, if he walks into a whattaburger in Texas, he won't even make it to the register before someone in there shoots him"

(*) the here being in a classroom full of experienced military personnel

The point being, I'm in California, which has gun control laws, and we saw how that helped.

Where as Texas, where there are guns all over the place and civilians open carry, SOMEONE always had a gun, and a shooter might not even get a second shot in.

Totally agree. Tweets about prayers are less than worthless at this point. Interesting all of these politicians aren't addressing the issues, but not surprised given the amount of money they're recovering from pro gun groups

The news said the weapons that were used are not legal in California. Insane mother fuckers will still hitch a ride on the highway to hell if they've got an itch to be terrorists!

But anyways. Yes- talk (also referred to as prayers by our government ) is cheap. Action needs to be taken. Maybe our president that sat on television and said "ahhh... I want to assure the American people to not be fearful"(after Paris)  well buddy tell that to the families of the victims who were shot dead by a gun wielding maniac Isis worshipper. 🙄🙄🙄

1. God didn't cause this, humans did. How would you like Him to fix it, take away our ability to choose? 
2. The liberal candidates making fun of the Republican candidates is the height of hypocrisy because a) the leader, our president was on the news proclaiming his thoughts and prayers for the victims families at the same time and b) no one had a problem with either party saying pray for Paris, but now suddenly it's an issue?

It is absolutely baffling to me that everyone feels the need to throw their opinions into such a huge tragedy. We are citizens of this country and this state not the ones who make the laws so as CITIZENS we need to be coming together to support one another in a time of heartache, and leave the politics to the politicians. Being a first responder it would warm my heart to see the community come together and build each other up when we have been torn down. Leave the conspiracy theories out of it and do some good.
