Question

I would like to breastfeed and bottle feed that way my SO is able to feed baby as well. How long did you mamas wait to introduce a bottle to your newborn? Also curious how long is best to wait to introduce pacifiers as well! Thank you!

The sooner the better I think I waited and my som refused the bottle completely never took one ever . He went from boob to a straw cup

I nursed for 2 years, never had any problems with it. We have him a paci in the hospital and it has no impact on his latch or desire to nurse. In hindsight I would try to avoid a paci because he’s now 3 and, while he only uses it at nighttime, we’re struggling to get rid of it 😩🙃 
We tried pumping and using bottles fairly early, within the first few weeks. He ate from a bottle maybe twice but it just never stuck. I would suggest waiting for that until your supply regulates. Just so you don’t end up having to rely on pumping because babe has a bottle preference or bc you’re dealing with an oversupply. Pumping is such a hassle - I only ever did it if I was engorged.

We started from birth and my baby had no nipple confusion. We’re waiting to use pacifiers, though.

We waited nearly 3 months to introduce bottles to my first becuase that’s what nurses told us to do to avoid nipple confusion. 
My second we introduced bottles around 2 weeks. It allowed me time for my milk to develop. If I gave baby a bottle, I was sure to pump at that time to keep my milk supply up.  Baby never had nipple confusion and I didn’t have to introduce formula until 10 months (I was back to work and unable to pump as often).
