Is pineapple and watermelon safe?

Is pineapple and watermelon safe to drink or eat during pregnancy im googling and of course getting mixed information saying watermelon helps with baby brain and vision but can hurt those with diabetes...im on the heavy side and I know my doctor talked with me concerned about diabetes possibility when we were trying to get pregnant...my husband got me the sams club snapple 3 pack black cherry(gross) watermelon lemonade and strawberry  pineapple lemonade....my app isn't till may 27 for my ultrasound and first app.

There’s a huge difference between eating the fruit itself and drinking an even more sugary drink made with it or from it.  Eating the fruit itself is fine - even with GD (at least for me anyway) but I have to make sure I eat some protein with it.  So I will have pineapple and a handful of almonds or watermelon and a yoghurt, this stops the spike in blood sugar for most people. Definitely stay away from fruit juices if you can 🙌🏻

If you have diabetes, fruit in general needs to be in moderation because it can spike your blood sugar. You can have juice if you're not diabetic. But snapple usually has a lot of sugar or artificial sweetener, so if you're concerned about diabetes you shouldn't have snapple either. But if the only concern is your weight but you've never been diagnosed with diabetes, I wouldn't stop eating fruit.

I would steer clear of Snapple unless you drink a small amount . Depending on the size and flavor it has 40g+ of sugar which is probably not good if your worried about diabetes and the baby. I would discuss how much sugar is safe in a day for you with your doc , everyone is different
