Is Bad to wear black to a wedding??

the bride and groom dont care what we wear just as long as it's not navy blue. it will be an outdoor wedding in a nice venue outdoors. would it be bad to wear a nice elegant black dress?

As long as you don't look like you are heading to a funeral. Black is classy and elegant. My family wore black to my wedding and I was very offended by it but there was a lot of hatred towards my husband from them and they were NOT happy for us nor happy to be there. So the all black was an  intentional slap in the face. As long as you are supportive of the wedding and happy to be there wearing black shouldn't be a problem.

Married in black, wish yourself back is what they say. But you aren’t getting married....I personally wouldn’t because black has a funeral vibe and also it sounds like daytime (cuz outdoors) and black will make you hot and pry uncomfortable and for me personally I would feel like it was the wrong fashion choice based on your description of the event.

Sure hope not as I was married in a black gown 🤣🤣 I know a lot of folks associate black with funerals and not weddings, but this is 2021 and black seems to be more acceptable at weddings. Just make sure it's a fun cut/style. Maybe accessorize with some fun pops of color. They said anything but navy.

Sure why not , I don’t see it a problem....I mean it’s the 21st century so black clothing isn’t only associated with funerals because people use it for every type of event.
