Cervical checks?

At what week do they start doing cervical checks? I’m 36 weeks and I had to do the swap for group b strep today and was expecting them to do a cervical check as well, but they never said anything about it.

Mine did at 36 weeks, but it’s not actually necessary, so it may not be something your doctor prefers to do.

Some don’t at all because it’s pointless.  It just causes discomfort and sometimes bleeding or losing the mucous plug without actually telling you anything about when to expect labor.  I wasn’t checked before labor with my last 3 babies.
