Cervical checks if having a c section?

I have a scheduled c section for June 1st so I’m 37+3 currently. Last week I had the strep B test done so my doctor caught me off guard and did a cervical check too. I wasn’t dilated he just said he could feel the head and my cervix was thinning. 
Today at my appointment the nurse asked if I wanted a check, I declined but I’m just confused. Should I be having them even though I’m having a c section?

You should get checked because labor could be imminent and you should be aware of whether your body is preparing for labor so you know to be more aware of signs that labor is starting and it’s not just another Braxton hick or pregnancy ache. As long as they aren’t stripping your membranes when checking, it is good to check.

My friend who just had a scheduled c section had them for the 3 weeks before her c section was scheduled. Turned out she was already dilating quiet a bit so they moved her c section up a little bit to ensure she didn’t go into labor naturally before hand.

Yes you can still get them even with a C-section but I declined all checks during pregnancy. I don't think it's necessary.

They checked me and I have had 3 csection so far the last baby I asked y and they said if I started to dial ate they needed to get it under control so I didint have a natural birth on accident

You don’t need to. You can ask your doctor if you should be having them or not. They don’t always do them even if you aren’t having a c section. I have had two c sections and am about to have my third. I was only ever checked once and that was because I said something about the pressure down there. I don’t remember if they checked during exams or not.
