Should sticky paper traps be banned for pest control use
There has been a lot of anger towards the use of sticky paper traps within several wildlife groups I am in due to the cruel and painful death they cause to animals. If you are unfamiliar with them they are basically cardboard strips with a string adhesive on them. Animals (typically geared towards trapping mice) then get stuck to them and die. During a struggle to get off the paper they can rip their skin or get stuck there until dying of exhaustion/dehydration/starvation. Many animals not intended to get trapped do as well(snakes, lizards, frogs, squirrels, birds, and even house pets). Should use of these be banned?
