Bleeding after stopping birth control?

Hi, I hopped off birth control 2 days ago because I chose I'm no longer going to have sex. I was on week 2 of the pills and today I noticed I was bleeding. It wasn't heavy, just light. I'm kinda worried about what it would mean and I've looked online finding that it hasn't really helped. Please help!! Thank you!!

Birth control is mix of hormones that tricks your body into thinking it is pregnant. When you stop taking those hormones, your body starts to go back into its natural cycle. Which, in many cases, is not normal at all. Your body will need time to adjust and regulate. If your period wasn't regular before you started taking the pill, then it probably won't be now that you have stopped. Give your body a few weeks to work things out itself. If you still have concerns, talk to your doctor. They have access to your medical history and will be able to advise you better than any one here can.

When I skipped a few days of my birth control I started spotting. It's just a side effect. Birth control helps regular your period and without it it gets out of cycle.

When you stop taking the pill your body is going to want to start your period. It could even take a couple months to regulate again.
