Moving in with your boyfriend? What do you think?

Hey guys!
So what do you think about moving in with your boyfriend? Should you wait until you're a littl on your feet? (Half way through college, jobs, and at least your own car) Does the age matter? What should we do or expect?

Wait until you're engaged or married if that's what you want out of it. If you're already living together a lot of guys won't propose because you're pretty much going through the motions of a married couple- minus the rings and wedding. Personally, i don't see why it's so important for bf/gfs to move into eachother and skip critical steps of their relationship.

My husband and I weren't even dating when he pretty much moved in with me. We dated, he proposed, and then we got married. Yes we went through tough times, but so does everyone. Don't let people scare you into thinking you won't ever be more than just dating. Do what you feel is right for you.

Wait til you can afford a place on your own. Even though you will split the bills, know you can do it on your own if needed. If you can, and you don't mind living w a man (its hard!!!) then go for it!

I'm 18 & my boyfriend just turned 19. Girl. It's hard. You see the true light of your man. That can either be good or bad. But, PLEASE DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY! There is nothing worse that living with the person you love & you're miserable...

My husband and I met in Jan, moved in together in April, bought our house in Oct, got engaged in Dec, then got married the following Sept. We were in our mid 20's though. Just starting our grown up careers so our pay wasn't great, but we made it through.

I had never lived with anyone prior to my husband. We've been together 8 years now and I'm "cookin" our third baby. We are blissfully happy. We honestly met and just knew we were meant for each other. We knew we were going to get married. We were inseparable from the start. We have grown a ton as people, but it's worked out.

Be honest with yourself and where you are in your relationship. Don't live in lala land about where you will end up. This will also depend on your age. I wouldn't make any life decisions before 25, but that's my opinion (that happens to be backed by neurological science). Good luck

I moved in with my now fiance 7 years ago when i was pregnant with my son. I had been out of college a year, he was working but not really making alot. We ate alot of ramen noodles for dinner, and hamburger helper...our apartment was a one bedroom. We had no car, and had to push a stroller in snowy cold winter to do laundry and food shop.  But...we were happy and we got through.

Fast forward, my son just turned 6, i got my bfp for #2 this week. We live in a huge apartment, my fiance and I both have good jobs and a car, a dog...totally living the dream. And totally not eating ramen noodles. 😀

Moving in together no matter what age, financial or educational phase doesnt matter to me at all. Its a great test in resilience, and becoming better people together. I say; if you are sure that he is the one, then go for it. You will learn a lot from each other and grow together. 😊

My husband and I agreed not to move in together until we owned a house, and I refused to own a house with someone I wasn't at least engaged to. We bought a house a month before we got married. For us, this was because we didn't want to rent an apartment, so we stayed with our parents to save up. If you're renting or one of you owns a home, I don't think age or timing of your life matters, as long as your relationship is healthy and stable. You can always move out fairly easily if things don't work out.

Careful about signing a year lease! Also do not get into a situation you cannot afford to leave if you break up.
