When does newborn nasal congestion go away?

This is my first time hearing so much congestion in a new born. My first baby sleeps quietly and peacefully. My second baby makes lotsa weird sounds, which at first makes me think that she has difficulty breathing!
So when does this nasal congestion in newborn goes away?

Put a towel on the floor to block the door and turn the shower on hot and then sit in there with baby for a while. Helps break up the chest congestion and makes it easier to suck up the boogies. I spent lots of hours in the bathroom with all my kids when they were congested.

Be cautious sucking out the boogers too much. You can cause inflammation in their tiny little nasal passages! 
Using the shower steam is great as well as using a solid humidifier near the baby during day and night.
