(hopefully i posted in the right group but feel free to share stories)

all i have to say is i am beyond pissed, me and my significant other had interviews at Menards today and mind you we are both black in America. i wear a turban because i struggle with hair loss and how i’m still learning to manage my short hair. my SO hair is long enough for braids but wore a durag for protection. they told him to take it off because its unprofessional, and continue to judge him because of his cornrows. they asked him do he steal or go to college in the near future or have he been in fights, and even asked a-lot of questions about weed. in my work experience, i have NEVER been questioned so heavily and discriminated. but only at menards. i even wore my natural hair years ago when i had an interview here so it was my second time here, and they judged me as well, but i just wanted to rant because its not fair but i guess this is how they want to run things.
