Ring care

I recently got engaged and have a all in one engagement/wedding ring. I would like to know about your do's and dont's on caring for the ring and General tips! It's been several years since I stopped wearing jewellery and the last few days I have been extra paranoid (in addition to very happy) about wearing it around and losing/damaging it.
