How do we feel about gel nails?

Is Anyone getting their nails done while pregnant?
I’m currently 16 weeks and I have an at home uv gel nail kit and I’m wanting to use it but..... is it safe??
Or even get gel nails at the salon is that safe??
Obviously I know to ask my midwife but was also looking to hear from others

Should be relatively safe! If you're worried about fumes you could make sure you're wearing a mask to help cut how much is reaching your lungs.  Just make sure you go to a salon that you trust is clean and don't let the nail tech cut your cuticles if you can, just because you're at a higher risk of infection during pregnancy~

It’s definitely safe. Dying your hair is also safe in ventilated areas but I go to the nail salon all the time and did with my daughter 🤷🏽‍♀️ you have to wear a mask bc of covid so that helps

Everything I've read said it's fine. I had gel done twice while pregnant for pics. I don't usually do my nails out of a lack of time and effort, lol. I even asked my manicurist about gel, and she said it was fine.
