Advice please!!
I am planning on going to the doctor but I wanted to post on here as well for opinions. I’m only 19 and my mom isn’t fully in my life so I have no one else to talk to that has an outside view. My periods are pretty crazy. They are so insanely irregular to the point where I didn’t have a period for 1-2 years and my doctor said it was okay that most teens have irregular periods and it could be my weight or my under-active thyroid. Well here we are and I’ve gotten on thyroid medications and still super irregular. I haven’t had a period in about 10 months at the very least but I just recently did (I’m currently on the last few days hopefully) and it’s so heavy. I call it murder scene heavy. I only wear the 12 hour nighttime pads and constantly fill them within 3 hours. I’m going to the bathroom about once an hour to pee so I don’t have a “gush” and leak my pads. The pain is so unbearable I’m miserable. It’s all up my back, my hips and pelvis, and even my actual vagina hurts. It’s the kind of pain where you get goosebumps you know? I was taking midol and Advil (alternating) and they didn’t do anything I still felt pain on the same level as without it. I honestly don’t know what to do or what will help anymore I just know I’m miserable when my period does make her appearance. I can’t help but feel like something is wrong because this doesn’t feel normal. Everyone I talk to (family wise like my mom) say it’s just a heavy period and I’ll be fine. I have let curiosity get the best of me and google things and it freaks me out feeling like something could be wrong or it could be I just have heavy periods. Anyone who has been diagnosed with any problems, how did you know something was wrong? How do you deal with the heavy periods. I’m at the point where I feel like I should just wear diapers or not move off the toilet lol.
