Harmony (NIPT) through Natera, anyone?

Question

Does anyone have experience with Natera running the NIPT genetic test? How was the cost and experience? 
My OB is offering it at my 12 week appt, but it will be an out of pocket expense since I’m low risk and Tricare will not cover it (or so my OB says– I haven’t checked yet). (Which I’m fine with, I just haven’t seen good reviews about Natera on Google and I’m nervous they’ll quote me for $200 and it’ll come out to $1500 or something crazy).

They billed my insurance just under $10,000. I definitely wouldn’t do that again.

My insurance covered the Harmony NIPT. Maybe you can talk with your insurance carrier and see if they will cover a different brand?

My husband and I did Natera at 12weeks because tricare wouldn't pay for it for us either and they said $300 for us but we applied for their compassionate program and didn't pay anything.

With my first they charged us $400. With my second they charged us $250 a year after the fact even though I applied for low income pricing. This time around I skipped it and just did sneak peak.
