When did you start trying again

Question

A little back story. My son was born sleeping 3/28/21. I was 37 weeks and 5 days.
Turns out my water broke several days earlier and I had no idea. That led to an infection Inside me. 10% blood clot on placenta. And then a concealed Placental abruption. 
I delivered vaginally with no tears. Healed perfectly. I also had no issue during my pregnancy. Both me and my son were healthy.
Doctor suggest waiting 18-24 months. I would like to start trying a lot sooner than that. 
When did everyone else start trying and was it sooner than what the doctor suggested

I am so sorry for your loss. My little boy was born sleeping on the 1st April 21 at 40+3. We were told by out brevement midwife to wait until his post mortem results come back which takes 12 weeks, so in about 4 weeks time. Every professional has a different opinion, may depend of the reason why they fell asleep and the mothers health and what not but my midwife said waiting so long is just to let your body recover from the pregnancy but getting pregnant sooner shouldn't affect the baby. She just wanted me to wait for the results incase it is something that could affect future pregnancies.

My son was stillborn at 40 weeks about 2 months ago. The doctor who delivered him said to wait 3 months. We switched doctors, and my new doctor said most suggested time frames are more for you to heal mentally and emotionally than physically. He told me as long as I’ve had a period since then, I can start trying again.
