Lied about nudes

The other night I got drunk and called the guy I’m talking to. One thing led to another and we ended up sending each other nudes. When I woke up I couldn’t remember if I had dreamt it or if it had actually happened so I asked him. While I was waiting for him to respond I was going through my notes app and had written that I sent him nudes while i was drunk. He eventually texted me back and said “no you didn’t send me anything” I know he’s lying. Why did he say that??!?!
