Do you spend 'Me Time' away from your SO

I had a conversation with my SO and I said I would love to go on a spa weekend at a hotel and get myself pampered and have some me time like maybe once/twice a year.

He said that it is strange and couldn't get his head around why I would want to go alone without my friends and why I would want to get away from him lol.

Now I love this guy and his company! He knows this. I love organising similar things with him but I have always been one to enjoy my own company and love doing certain things away sometimes. He has hobbies and mine is stuff like this.

Also It doesn't mean absolutely not contact. I won't ghost him lol. I think it will keep things fresh, allow us to refresh and miss eachother a little. Is this weird? 😂😂

Hes just feels like there shouldnt be a want to 'escape'. I said its not the intention to escape its the want to do what I like which is have some me time 🤷🏾‍♀️
