Advice and answers for someone newly TTC

Be

We are TTC for baby #2. Baby #1 was an accident and not planned for whatsoever but we still love him lol So since I’ve never actually tried to get pregnant on purpose before I had a question.

I’m supposed to start my period Saturday. I took an early detection test Monday and today and both read negative. Did I take them too early? I had my IUD removed May 6 and started my period the next day. I had my IUD in for about 22 months.

Also, any tips for someone newly TTC? My BIL and his fiancée get married Saturday (I’m a bridesmaid) and tonight we were setting up for their wedding and before we all left they were talking about how the guys my BIL works with have bets going on how long it’ll be before they have a baby... all while I’m sitting there actively trying to get pregnant (they don’t know) and seeming to be unsuccessful. I’m also terrified that bc it was so “easy” last time that it’ll be harder this time. And I don’t want to have to sit and watch my SIL go through her pregnancy while I’m still having trouble TTC. 😞

Any encouragement y’all have would be appreciated ❤️
