What's better fake or real Christmas tree?

Debating what to get lol.

Real is better! But we ended up getting a fake one this year despite my attempt at protesting it. In the end it will last us several years so it's not a bad investment. We will probably alternate real and fake as our girls get olde.

Fake is more expensive but lasts longer (obv) and easier to take care of.

Real is cheaper, and looks a lot better in my opinion but you do have to take care of it more

Real, we love the tradition of searching for the perfect tree and don't have to worry about tediously picking tinsel out of it if we choose to use it that year.

My husband saws off a sliver of the truck for me to write the year and a memory from that year to make a collection of ornaments too. This way every year we have a new memory ornament.

I used to go all out for my family but we do not have the space in our apartment for a big tree nor the money. This is my first Christmas nearly 7000 miles from my family so my husband and I decided to just get a tiny golden tree.

I've always been scared of getting real ones because I've heard stories of them catching on fire easily.

I love the idea of a real tree... but with a fake one, if you spend a good amount just once they can be so realistic, and you don't have to buy a new one every year. Plus, there's no remembering to water it, or needles shedding all month! And you can buy one already wired with lights  so less hassle! (Possibly the lazy way out, but effective) :)

I love real trees!! 🌲 My mother runs a garden shop and we had never ever had a fake tree in our house when I was a child. However, I am a florist and I go to people's houses and decorate their trees for Christmas... fake trees are wonderful if you want to decorate them really well/professionally. The stems will bend to hold ribbon, ornaments, and, silks. It's just so much easier to decorate a fake tree. I'm sticking with a real one in my own home though. ❤️
