D&c and possible need for methotrexate

Y’all I am terrified. I had a D&c yesterday for pregnancy of unknown location. I was supposed to be 7.5 weeks and my hcg was going up then down then back up. Yesterday I was sitting at 1200 before my D&c. The original plan was to do diagnostic laparoscopic. The gyn talked me out of it saying she wouldntbe able to find it with my hcg being so low and that I was a great candidate for the shot because my hcg was not over 5000. We are waiting on the pathology test from by uterine tissue to see if they could locate the pregnancy in my uterus and I’m about to go get my blood drawn for the 100th time (exaggerating a bit). If pathology cantfind it and my hcg didntfall I have to get the shot tomorrow.

I expressed my fear of this shot. I’ve read too many stories of women still rupturing and that pain being masked by the pain that comes with the shot. They kept assuring me this was the right choice.

So, I’m looking for insight here. Whether it be if you ruptured after the shot and how you could tell or if you had total success.

I’m traveling with my husband for work and am away from family and my regular OB. This has been the most traumatic experience.
