6 weeks postpartum bleeding

I am just hoping for some feedback from other mamas. I have already contacted my doctor, but sometimes you just need to hear from others experiences to gain some peace of mind.
I am still bleeding at 6 weeks postpartum. It has come and gone a few times. This is my first child and I didn’t expect to bleed for this long. How long did you all bleed and was it as heavy as a period? Any cramping?
