Hey ladies! So I’m a SAHM, and usually I take care of my daughter all day. I’m pregnant, and have to go to doctor’s appointments, etc. when my husband gets off work. He usually stays at home during these times, and gets our daughter a diaper after naps, but doesn’t offer her any food or water unless I text him to do so. She’s not even two yet, and she doesn’t really voice when she’s hungry or thirsty, unless she can see food and water. My husband said I was being hyper and a “helicopter parent” about how many times per day I offer her food and water??? Every couple hours, and after her nap. I don’t think it’s excessive, because she doesn’t understand yet how to articulate her needs. Am I wrong? I feel like I’m telling a sitter what to do, not her father.
