Trust Issues?

Hi ladies! I’m looking for advice on this situation with my boyfriend.

We’ve been dating for about 8 months now, I’ve been working full time and he’s just about to graduate from college. He majored in special education and was offered a job to teach special needs kids at the school he was interning at, but he recently decided that he wants to join the military as an officer.

I love and care for this man so much, I’ve never been treated so well before and I can definitely see us spending our lives together. As tough as military and long distance relationships are, I don’t see there being any majors issues because I’m 100% committed to him and I want him to reach his goals and do what makes him happy.

He, on the other hand, has been expressing some trust issues that he has. It seems deep rooted like it might be something that friends or family have done in the past (he said he hasn’t been cheated on) and he admits that he gets jealous and insecure. He tells me that I’m beautiful and I could have my pick of any guy on the planet and yet I’m with him. But that’s the thing! I’m with him. We have the best conversations and laugh so hard and have the best time together, he really is the most attractive man in my eyes.

I wish there was something I could do to make him fully understand that I love him and I’m choosing to be with him. I’m not sure if there’s anything I can do or say to make him believe that, but I’d really appreciate some advice if anyone has any ideas.
