When did you get to eat after your C section?

I was able to eat immediately but I had to be one clear liquids for 24 hours due to history of complications.

It was a couple of hours, once we got to our room on the mom/baby floor. I didn't care about eating though, I was so so thirsty and they only let me have ice chips for like 2 hours after so all I could think about was how thirsty I was.

I was so nauseous I didn’t even want water. I barely moved because just looking side to side made it worse. When I finally tried some saltines and water a few hours after delivery, I threw it up. She was born at 10:06A and it was probably 6P when I got an appetite and could keep food down.

They want you to wait a few hours but I kept pestering them so my dr did a policy override and I ate pretty soon afterwards

I wasnt able to eat until 4-5 hours after my csection. By the time i was able to eat food everything had closed

Well I demanded food….so…less than an hour. Usually they want to wait to see if you are going to get sick.
