Does a sweep hurt?

I have a sweep booked in for next week (I'll be 40 weeks then) so if baby hasn't made an appearance,  they said I can have one. But does it hurt or just more uncomfortable? 
I fully get giving birth is going to hurt but I'm more worried about having a sweep 🤣🤷🏽‍♀️

I had mines done at 39 weeks 1 day. It didn't hurt it just felt like a longer than usual cervical check with some pressure. Water broke 39 weeks 2 days. Had him 39 weeks 3 days.

Some people hate it I hated it I about jumped off the table it was a sharp pain but some say it's uncomfortable pressure. Depends on you

Depends on your pain tolerance. I consider it an uncomfortable level of pain, but nothing so severe I'd be stressed about it. Others have said it's awful.

It did hurt in my opinion.

I've had them done with each pregnancy. One time I didn't even realize what my OB did until after it was already done. Sometimes it would be uncomfortable, but it doesn't hurt. But I also think it depends on how dilated and effaced you are, and the position of the cervix. I was 2-3 cm each time I had the sweep. Good luck momma!!
