Leaking pee?

So I’ve always felt like I kind a leak small amounts of urine throughout the day. But I always thought maybe it’s just my discharge. However I am on my period and I have a tampon in, and there was a wet spot in my underwear, and it definitely smells like urine. i’ve had a child before, but I think I noticed it before I was even pregnant. Is this normal? Or is this something I should get checked out?
