Jelly like discharge with period

Hey guys so I have been on birth control the pill for almost a month(I’m on my last week sugar pills) I got on it for hormonal issues with constantly bleeding and bad cramps. I never took a pregnancy test before I got on the pill because I took one like 3 weeks prior and it was negative. I’m still having my hormonal problems and still spotting and bad cramping. Today though I noticed everytime I wipe its very like slippery like a ton of discharge sticky but jelly like but obviously with my spotting blood. Although today is the first day it’s more pink/reddish. I haven’t really bled heavy at all, but I bleed everyday (or spot atleast) the only time I had this clear slippery like discharge was when I was pregnant and that was a while ago bc my baby is 9 months now. When I had him I was fine regular period from sept-January and February is when it was all fucked up wnd weird. Is this normal for being on the pill or should I worry and take a test to make sure?
