menstrual cups?

can someone please explain to me the menstrual cup “method?” 
as in, inserting the cup after BD to trap the little swimmers haha.
just curious about it. has it worked for anyone? i’ve read that the swimmers don’t necessarily need to be up there very long to do what they need to do?

Unnecessary. The only thing that keeps in is semen and that's meant to come out. The sperm get left behind in your cm.

It could be coincidence of course but this method worked three times for me. My body ejects the semen almost immediately even on my back so i would slip the cup in for even just fifteen minutes. 
If you have ample CM it's probably not necessary. I don't ... so i wonder if it helped a little. But could never prove that either way. 
 This current pregnancy i finally used some PreSeed also and so perhaps that helps much more if you don't have a ton of fertile cervical mucus to.
