I've read somewhere that u can't fall pregnant on day of ovulation because the sperm need to go through a process called capacitation before it can fertilise the egg is this true?

You do fall pregnant on day of ovulation. If you mean sex on ovulation day then probably not. This is why you have to have sex before ovulation so there's a supply waiting for the egg.

I was advised to bd the day before ovulation the day of and the day after.

I don't know how to answer your question however it is better/best to have sex prior to ovulation so they are just sitting up there waiting... However the process you are talking about is when they get stripped of all their stuff so they can swim faster and win the race

I read that too and am just as confused as you! I had only read it on one site, which is confusing since almost every other site says to def bd the day of ovulation and after
