ADVICE: Preeclampsia
I am 19 weeks pregnant and trying not to stress too much. This is my second pregnancy.
With my first pregnancy, my BP didn’t get high until around 32 weeks or so. Towards the end, it was like 190/120 or something like that. It’s been a while. I’m guessing I didn’t have preeclampsia though because they never seemed too concerned about it. I just always felt light headed and my heart would race.
I have been feeling that for a couple of weeks now, light headed and feeling like I couldn’t breathe. I checked my BP at work when I was around 16 or 17 weeks and it was 149/84. I finally went to the doctor last week when I was 18 weeks. I felt fine actually and didn’t think anything of my BP. The nurse told me it was 160/100 and seemed a little concerned but that was it. I didn’t get to see the doctor because he was in delivery.
I’m trying not to stress, but I am worried it could be preeclampsia. Is there ever a time you have high BP but no preeclampsia? Just wanted to ease my mind.
Thank you guys!
