How helpful is husband?

Are peoples husbands actually helpful with their children? I find mine can’t spend more than actually two minutes playing with the baby if he knows that I’m around.

Also can someone inform me what your house is like when your husband comes home? Is he helpful?

Today mine came home and basically instantly took a nap at 5pm, I asked him to feed the baby and he basically said no that he “had to use the washroom” and then took a nap right after that. So therefore probably won’t do a single thing with the baby all day. I understand he’s working and I currently am not (on mat leave, going back to work in 1.5 weeks) but I’m just wondering what’s normal I guess?
