Trying to breast feed 2 months in

So I’ve been mostly solely pumping since my little guy was born (he will be 2 months tomorrow), giving him formula very rarely if needed, and I want to try breast feeding him. He latches right off sometimes and other times he starts to throw a fit if I try or becomes frustrated. What can I do to make it easier on him? I hate to have him so upset but I was wanting to see if feeding him from the breast would increase my supply some as I only pump exactly what he seems to be eating every 2 hours.
