Reclining couch/sofa

I grew up calling them couches and bf calls them sofas. We probably won't be able to get a new one for a while, but the one we have right now is a very old and I just really want one with a footrest. Not an ottoman, a footrest that is attached to the couch. It doesn't really even have to recliner. I've been looking on Amazon and having trouble finding anything less than $700. I'm a cheapskate and like saving when possible, so where can I find a decent one close to 500ish? And when's the best time of year to buy furniture?
