Contraceptives Symptom? Help!

So my doctor put me on Mya birth control pills.  I started taking them the first day of my cycle, November 26.  First of all, my period lasted longer than normal, and I've been constantly spotting ever since.  Never in my life have I spotted or had a period that lasted more than 5 days.  Has anyone else experienced this? Should I stop taking them and see my doctor? Or am I just overreacting? Haha 😅
