When does weight gain stop?

Hi momma's!
I'm 38 weeks today and wondering when the weight gain stops or did stop for you? Must we wait until we deliver & baby is out?
I've gained 12 lbs over my pregnancy and just curious if I can expect to keep adding more lbs until my due date or even afterwards?! Thanks so much

I’m a FTM and I stopped gaining at 36weeks and maybe even lost some weight this week due to the heat wave and just overall being uncomfortable

I think every pregnancy varies. With my first pregnancy, I gained a total of 25 pounds. I stopped gaining weight probably around 37 weeks, but baby will gain 1/2 a pound every week from week 35 I believe. 
With this pregnancy, I’ve stopped gaining weight since 33 weeks since I’m eating a lot less due to my GD. I’ve only gained 19 pounds so far & I’m currently 36 weeks.
