Lip tie?

Question

I think my baby has a tie. He is gaining weight and it doesn’t hurt to nurse, but he has such a hard time staying latched. It also seems like his top lip doesn’t really curl when eating. He also has these “nursing blisters.” Opinions? 
Thinking of going to a lactation consultant but just wanted some opinions here

My first had a major lip and tongue tie with a very high palate she had a hard time latching and sucking in milk from day 1 had a lactation consultant and got her ties evaluated and got them clipped but didn’t help really with nursing and she wasn’t gaining weight had to pump and supplement with formula 
With my second who is 3 weeks old she does seem to have ties based on what my lactation consulatnat said and did have a narrow latch but she is able to take in milk and stay on she is only gaining weight steadily but is making plenty of wet and dirty diapers I’m waiting on getting them evaluated but as long as your baby is gaining weight and making plenty of wet diapers and it doesn’t hurt you nursing you should be fine

There is a tongue and lip tie baby support group on Facebook that can help you find a local dentist trained in ties.  That’s what I would look at.  I had two ibclcs and a doctor in the hospital tell me my son had no ties when I complained about his bad latch 🤦‍♀️ ended up waiting 16 months to get it fixed and he had a very significant lip tie as well as a posterior tongue tie.  It was affecting his speech and solid intake at that point
