It’s officially been a year of trying

Woke up to AF this morning. We’ve been trying for baby #2 for a whole year. It took us 4 months for #1. I feel so defeated. I never imagined it would take this long for a second child. You figure you have one, everything must be functioning properly down there, right? I turn 30 in 2 months and desperately wanted to be pregnant before then. I wanted our son to have a sibling to grow up and learn with who would be close in age.

I don’t know whether to approach my doctor now, or give it another 6 months. Hope anyone reading this gets their BFP.
